Mamoru Itō
also known as "the playwright"
male
Twenty-three
heterosexual
inspector
mwpsb
Appearance
There are very few days where Mamoru Itō is not seen without a smug, self righteous smirk worn across his face. His black hair is kept neatly in a messy manner, permitting a small cluster of hair to fall past his right eye, and, more often then not, conceal it. Of course, if not for the black rectangular glasses, this might have annoyed him time from time, but he's learned to make due with it, not caring for tidying up what works. Of course, that's not to say he neglects caring for it; not at all. His hair is parted towards the right, and though one could describe it as messy, there's also a somewhat elegant appearance to it. Ears, nose, and mouth of average proportions, one can see his chin the most, for he holds it quite high.
Standing at 178 cm (or rather, 5'10"), he's just slightly under weight for his size, at 70.6 kg (155.6 lbs), but possesses an athletic build. He has sufficient muscle, enough to engage in hand to hand combat with some criminals should the situation ever arise, and has the stamina to accompany it.
Always one for theatrics, Mamoru forsakes the suit and tie look that the CCG have on their person, and in it's steed, wears a deep blue military coat reminiscent of the those worn in the eighteenth century and worn open, but with the cuffs folded up just below the elbow, with two dark violet red wrist bands in their steed. He wears a white undershirt and grey waist coat. As for lower body wear, he sports dark blue trousers and knee high black boots.

Personality
Few people are as level headed as Mamoru can be. He's not one for letting emotions cloud his judgment, a quality any Inspector of the MWPSB should possess. When an initial plan won't work, or ends up backfiring, he's able to quickly come up with another plan of attack. That's not to say he's not prone to outbursts of emotion; he is human after all. However, the Investigator prides himself on keeping a cool mind.
Since becoming an Investigator, Mamoru has developed a sense of superiority over Enforcers, (and criminals alike). They're nothing more than strays that were given a second chance into the kingdom that is Dellmere, this decision cast upon the oracle or God that is the SIBYL system. Though he would never deliberately place an Enforcer in a situation where it would be obvious where they would die, he has no qualms about forsaking a should-be criminal for his own self preservation. To that end, one could call him cruel, but to some other Investigators, he's just doing his job.
Mamoru's love of theatrics is evident in everything he does. Though he may not quote plays, he will, however, act in an over dramatic manner. He occasionally will speak in a 16th century manner, replacing "you" with "thou", just for an example. However, this is because of an interest in elegance, and he believes there was no more elegant time than the days of the renaissance.

Background
Despite his obviously oriental name, Mamoru was born in the United States; specifically, within Dellmere itself to two Japanese immigrants, who were trying to escape the Sibyl System. Through underground connections and resources, and a dangerous trek to the outermost limits of the city, it was accomplished, and the couple "enjoyed" a less than appealing boat ride that had been arranged to the States, where transportation was set up to have them meet and stay with a friend. Of course, with the family arriving in 2108, and not speaking English, they weren't able to find out about the construction Sibyl System, and by the time they did, it was too late.
Not having the resources to move yet again, the family would have to make due, cursing their misfortune. It was of even worse misfortune, they felt, that Miyako Itō was pregnant with Haruki Itō's child during the last few months of the year 2109. An abortion wasn't an option; they didn't believe in them. Their child would have to endure the tyranny of the Sibyl System.
And so, born on July 18th, 2110, the Miyako gave birth to the families one and only child, Mamoru Itō.
From an early age, he was shown to have a high level of intelligence; at least, in the academic sense. When he was eight, he developed a love of theatrics, having witnessed his first school play. When he was old enough, he participated in one himself, and all throughout his school years, whenever the opportunity presented itself, he was active in plays.
It didn't feel like long at all before it was time for him to take the Employment Aptitude Exam of the Ministry of Health. His scores, having studied for as long and dutifully as he had, were top of his class. There were many people who thought he was going to go for a career in the arts; no less one as an actor. However, he dropped a bombshell when he chose to go to the MWPSB. His parents were in shock at such a declaration. Revealing that he chose to go because his name meant "to protect", his parents realized they made a terrible mistake.
Their crime co-efficients began rising because of this, before they ended up locked up as latent criminals. Truthfully, this ended up making Mamoru feel a bit guilty, but instead of acting depressed, he chose to instead act out as a superior being -- he was an outstanding citizen, after all. His hue always was always crystal clear and he always made sure his crime co-efficient was always healthily maintained. He had nothing to fear after all, right?
