Lin is the adorable Analyst for Division 1. With a bright mood and a huge heart, it is hard to get this woman down over anything... Unless it involves the wounds from her husband.

Give up trying to get to that meeting on time, she will no doubt stop you to talk to you unless you simply say you're busy (though she might be a bit upset). Anyone who befriends her will probably be treated like a child to her, regardless of age. She will become like a mother to them, trying to better them and making sure they're in good health (You best do as the doctor says!). She will cook for you quite happily if you befriend her enough. She's the medium mode of dating sims... Not desperate but you will have an easy time identifying where her heart rests.

She will understand if it's an accident but be prepared for her to cower slightly if you raise your hand at her. Don't poke fun at the scars from "falling down the stairs" or anything of the sort that would really badly hurt her feelings. You are welcome to ask about them if you spot them but she'll reluctantly say that she fell down the stairs. One sure fire way to end up as her enemy is to threaten her daughter in any way, shape or form. If you do... I can't promise that you'll be looked after in heaven.

Both of them have to make her feel special and be charming. She will love you with all of her heart though the deal breaker is that she does have baggage... Her daughter. Not only do you have to impress Lin, you have to impress her six year old daughter. Granted the little girl is strange, thinking that any man who speaks to Lin in a nice way is her 'boyfriend' which doesn't seem like much of a problem when trying to get Maria to like you. Just be pleasant and gentle with Maria and Lin. But don't bottle up your feelings as Lin does have a bad habit of leaving people in the "Mother zone" without realising it.
